Who are the Two Blind Brothers?Updated 4 days ago

Founders and brothers Bryan and Bradford Manning are the Two Blind Brothers. They were both diagnosed with Stargardt disease at a young age (a form of macular degeneration that impacts central vision). Growing up with a progressive vision condition shaped not only how they experienced the world, but how they learned to navigate it—through trust, curiosity, resilience, and connection.

As they got older, Brad and Bryan noticed something bigger than their own diagnosis: most people simply don’t understand blindness—not the day-to-day reality, not the wide spectrum of vision loss, and not the independence, capability, and barriers the blind and low-vision community navigates every day. That lack of understanding creates distance—socially, professionally, and culturally.

Two Blind Brothers exists to close that gap. To date, Two Blind Brothers has contributed over $2,700,000 to help fund vital blindness research and community partners. Today, our nonprofit focuses on increasing understanding and awareness of blindness through education, experiences, and community programs.

Two Blind Brothers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and you can make a tax-deductible donation here
